A Hall Tree From an Old Door

Do you need a stylish and functional solution to deal with the clutter that we all drag in the door every day?  This is my solution–a hall tree made from an old door that I put together for the entry of my daughter and son-in-law’s home.

I love it.  They love it.

You can read more about this project at  hoorayforfamily.com.

That’s right.  Jilly’s got a new gig.

I’ll be contributing monthly articles about family-friendly and budget-friendly decorating ideas for Hooray for Family, a website geared toward all things family.  If you live in my area, you may already know about the Hooray for Family resource magazine, a guide of activities for families and their children in McLennan and Bell County, Texas.

I’m excited about this new opportunity to share my design ideas!

  1. I’ve seen so many creative ideas with old doors. Love this one!

We have a door that came from my dad’s old house. It was 104 years old when he sold the house. I’m trying to decide what to do with it now. 🙂
